Voyager - Pangea - Video
PUBLISHED:  Nov 28, 2010
DESCRIPTION:
This is a piece of music that follows the "retro-futuristic" concept of my other pieces in the Voyager series. This time, the voyager is a time traveller to planet Earth over a much much larger timespan than in Earthrise, starting back when life itself emerged on our planet.

Over the course of the billions of years that the Earth has existed, the continents have changed slowly but radically.

250 million years ago, more or less all the continents we know today were gathered into one supercontinend that humans 250 000 millennia later would call Pangea. At that time, dinosaurs were just about to have their era on Earth.

The word Pangea (sometimes spelled Pangaea) comes from ancient Greek and means "The entire Earth".

This video is sort of a time travel from the earliest times to today, focusing on life in its many forms.

Like Earthrise, this entire video is a collage of video clips that I've found right here on YouTube. If you are the owner of one of these videos and don't want me to use it, let me know and I'll remove it. I don't make any money on this, and no harm is intended.

As for the music, I've composed and performed this piece myself, and I hope you'll enjoy it. :o)

It is a much lighter, "happier", and upbeat piece than most of my other music. A little bit of variation never hurts. :-)

Enjoy!
