Joshua Park plays a piano sonata No. 8, Op. 13, also known as "Pathetique Sonata" written by Ludwig van Beethoven.

This is one of his first video of him playing the piano on YouTube. Joshua Park performed this music at 2010 in Lily Kim Music Academy's student concert.

Short Biography of the Pianist:
Joshua Park was born in 21st of July 1996 at Auckland, New Zealand, later in 2000, he moved to Sydney, Australia. At the age of 5, he started to learn piano from his mother (Lily Kim), performed piano at private student concerts every term and every year at his mother’s institution Lily Kim Music Academy.

He attended many private classes for vocal, flute, cello music theory and composition. In his young age, he achieved merit for Grade 5 theory exams and Grade 8 practical, both for ABRSM (The Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music). As he started high school, he achieved Diploma Music practical from ABRSM. Then in 2010, he travelled, observed, and attended private lesson with piano teachers like Tessa Nicholson and Ian Brown at Oxford Philomusica Piano festival in London. In 2010 he the Australian International Performing Art High school with full scholarship, during that time he performed at the Sydney Opera house in the Utzon room and later his performance were recorded for the radio at 2MBS FM 102.5. At the age of 15 (2012), he started the course for Bachelor of Music at the Australian International Conservatorium of Music.

Later in 2013, he continued his course while studying with Dr. Wojciech Wisniewski at the Australian Institute of Music in Sydney, and he also received the second prize at the Chopin section at the McDonald Competition in 2014. At the age of 18 (2015) he had graduated and received the Bachelor degree.

Throughout the process of studying the Master course at the Australian Institute of Music in Sydney, he wrote couple of research projects such as “Preparation for a Performance with an orchestra - Rachmaninoff Piano Concerto No. 2, Op. 18” and “Rigoletto Paraphrase: Compositional techniques that have been paraphrased by Franz Liszt of Giuseppe Verdi’s opera Rigoletto” and he is completing his final thesis supposed to be “The compositional process and self reflective research in a performer’s perspective of the Piano Concerto written by the researcher” but changed to “the traditional Argentine compositional style - case study of Alberto Ginastera and his Danzas Argentinas” supervised by the same teacher for piano Dr. Wojciech Wisniewski.
