this improvisation began with the breath, moved with glacial deliberation through two lyrical structures ("The Elemental" and "People In The Walls"), and then ... 45 minutes later ... paused. shortly thereafter came a song ("Out Of The Wind," posted separately) and then a return to breath. certainly among the coolest 5 or 6 improvs I've ever been involved in, in a life of involvement in many cool improvs.

"Out Of The Wind" was written at the home of Benjamin Orr, the same month that I began to develop the breath-based improv technique which fuels TAIX's Breath. On the night of this performance, that was not on my mind. Cosmic goof, happy accident, the structure of the Universe revealing itself in subtle ways.
