Singer, Mc, Dj, Song Writer and Puppet Master



Josehine Philip was for several years as lead singer a part of the now disbanded all-girl ska band Favelachic, whose debut concert took place in 2003 in the now defunct “Ungdomshuset”. Along with the DJ Sensimilla, Josephine Philip formed “Dullen & Dyken”. Apart from being a second-hand designer and experience shop at Nørrebro in Copenhagen, “Dullen & Dyken” was also a dance-generating sound system, that has been visiting most nightclubs in Copenhagen as well as abroad. This also resulted in her travelling to several places in the world, performing as MC with miscellaneous Danish and foreign DJ’s. Moreover, the duo Filur, also made use of her vocal on their album “Into The Wasteland”. In 2006 Josephine Philip formed the duo JaConfetti with singer Ane Trolle and they released their first album "The Rainbow Express" in August 2007.

The first single ”Hold Nu Kay” and their second single ”Step Up” had great air play on the Danish national radio station, and at the Danish Music Awards 2008 they won for best music video for the video ”Step Up”. Besides that they have been nominated for several awards.

Along with dj-partner Maria Schlüter she formed dj-duo The Dulfedettes who play, surf swing and rock'n'roll. Always dressed up and ready for a party. Right now she is working on her newest project Darkness Falls, with the former bass player Ina Lindgreen from Favelachic. They are currently working on an EP and their first album, which is being produced by Anders Trentemøller.

Besides being a singer and songwriter, Josephine is also working as a puppet master, leading the puppet and doing the voice of the main character Habibi on Denmarks national tv-station, DR 1's, kids show "Det Kongelige Spektakel". She has also lead the puppet Gitte on the show "Carsten & Gitte"



Darkness Falls



Darkness Falls is my newest project, that I am doing with my friend Ina Lindgreen that I used to play with in the now disbanded all girl ska band Favelachic. We are at the moment working on a EP which should be out in 2010, go check it out on myspace.com/darknessfallsmusic
