Invitation has always been one of my favorite standards to play in any creative situation. This is a cool version featuring a different cast of musicians as a whole. Hearing Swana on trombone is a treat since his vast musical vocabulary gets transported from trumpet. I like Lucas Brown's understated and creative concept he brings to this quartet. Drummer Mosemann played the role as a time keeper in this one maintaining a groove throughout all the explorations of Lucas and myself both harmonically and rhythmically creating an interesting contrast.
