Get Ispirato! An in-car concert with John Paul Keith - Video
PUBLISHED:  Jul 31, 2014
DESCRIPTION:
Growing up outside of Knoxville, John Paul Keith grew up singing in church and playing country music. He didn't hear The Beatles until he was almost in high school. His early rise in the music business began as a founding member of the V-Roys (or The Viceroy's, as they were originally known) under the wing of Steve Earle and his newly formed record label. After leaving the band, John Paul formed his own band and spent time in Ryan Adams' band before ending up in Memphis (in his words) washed up at 29.

By 2009, Keith had once again found inspiration with his first solo release, "Spills and Thrills," followed by 2011's "Memphis Circa 3AM" on Big Legal Mess Records, produced by legendary Memphis producer and Sun sideman, the late-Roland Janes.

We captured this performance outside the Whitewater Tavern in Little Rock, AR - a regular haunt for John Paul.

Special thanks to John Paul Keith, the One Four Fives, Matt White, Whitewater Tavern and Landers FIAT.
