We opened this show specifically for the benefit of our family members who couldn't make it out to our last gigs due to us playing so late. Things went good. Rygar: The night before the show I happened to wake up and go to the bathroom. I came back in the room and got back in bed. I thought I felt something in there (it was my lady's arm) and I turned my head ever so slightly, but quickly, to see what it was and instant pain took me. I managed to get back to sleep pretty well though. I woke the morning of the show unable to turn or even lift my head without whimpering like a little bitch. I had thrown out my neck and I wasn't sure how I'd be able to work that day, let alone play a show. My remedy? Extra strength Tylenol did jack shit. I used some sports creme stuff two hours before showtime and that helped a little. I also took some Watsons (3) at two hours before showtime. Forty-five minutes prior and I down a shot of Jack and use some more sports creme. I'm still clueless as to when it all kicked in. Five minutes before we're supposed to play and I still feel like shit. Then suddenly I've got my guitar in my hand and I'm rockin' the set and I fortgot all about it. The Kentucky Breakdown rocked hard that night. I payed for it though. A week later and my neck was still sore.
