Here are two tasty tunes from my favorite Kentucky fiddler, John Morgan Salyer (1882-1952). Through the work of Bruce Greene (who helped share Salyer's recordings with the analog world beyond Salyer's family ~ I cherish the cassette tapes of Salyer's music I acquired in my salad days) and later Jake Krack (who helped digitize those recordings while attending Berea College where they are housed), you can now stream all of the recordings of Salyer via the Digital Library of Appalachia (DLA), an unparalleled online treasure trove of archival old-time recordings.
