John Cannaday (JC) is a force like no other, his long standing ability to withstand all the true tests of music production and dedication not surpassed by many well known artists of today. Raised in the midwest (cleveland) There being exposed early on to a rare and unique radio airplay mix including OHIO PLAYERS,LAKESIDE,TOWER OF POWER,FUNKADELIC,as well as another channel would have HENDRIX,SLADE,MOTT THE HOOPLE, T REX, KRAFTWERK,ENO,ROXY MUSIC, flip another channel and you would get SEX PISTOLS,CLASH,JOE JACKSON,IGGY POP, BOWIE and on and on. these artists all in their prime at the same time, has never yet been out done for influencing the sounds of today in modern music. JC, being expossed at such an early age, could only lead him to this place and position in time. Moving to London ,to pursue his dreams just a few years after JIMIs death ,there was a longing to see and expierence what jimi had seen, and what made the brittish music scene so dominating at that time. There he played with three different bands, it seems everything was just as imagined,the britts pulling at him like a piece of candy,GREAT,only until a love from home reeled him back to the states .Love is a s.o.b. sometimes . this being the foundation to bringing him to L.A. Los angeles at that time was going through a very wierd change in music and the way it was recorded. JC seeing this as the perfect place to express views and art. While living in the now well known notorios DOWNTOWN LA ARTIST LOFT DISTRICT He oppened up whats known now as the notorios" JCS COCO CLUB",83-86 opening at midnight on fri and sat clossing at 5:00 in the morning ,6000 square feet of wild live music,RAPPERS and SCRATCHERS between live sets of HARD CORE PUNK,IT WAS CRAZY. NOW!! AFTER OVER 20 YEARS, you will be able to witness these unseen jewels of tons of 1st recordings, produced and recorded by JC. During his career JC, has worked with,DAVID BOWIE,BILLY PRESTON, JANES ADDICTION DAVE NAVARRO,SOUL 2 SOUL,MIKE WATT,ICE T,STEV BATORS,BONE THUG CAMP POETIC HUSTLAZ ,BILL PULMAN,ROBERT PATRICK,ROGER G SMITH ,among many others, while free lance producing and as VIDEO DIRECTOR for the LOS ANGELES THEATER CENTER. John is Currently CEO, EXECUTIVE PRODUCER of EYE SCREAM RECORDS living in Florida with recording studio number" 9" writting, producing music for numerous hip hop and R&B artists and recording alternative bands while experimenting in the realms of deep music.
