Basement Khemists, Talib Kweli, Miles Bonny, Pharoahe Monch, DJ Spinna and many more all have recorded and released music works with Kansas City's own ice-cold turntablist and producer, Joc Max. A Kansas City resident, Joc Max, recently spilled his guts about J Dilla's legacy to us with a camera rolling as a beyond-certified J Dilla appreciator. In this interview session, he told us that for years, he hasn't listened to anyone's music more than J Dilla's. Joc Max also described Dilla's "inner ear", and the Hall Of Fame-like career "zone" that Dilla's best music came from.
