DESCRIPTION:
Philadelphia Jazz artists and educators Joanna Pascale and Tony Miceli were "artists in residence" at the Philadelphia International Festival of the Arts in spring of 2011. This short film, sponsored by the Kimmel Center, documented their project: First, they performed at the Philadelphia Senior Center, then interviewed the seniors to share their stories and compile their song requests. Next, Tony and Joanna worked with a group of students to learn and present the music, first at he Kimmel Center, and finally at the senior center.
