«We’ve come a long way with respect to gay rights, but not far enough! My wish is that this video will contribute to what should be obvious: full accept and respect for love, no matter what gender.»
I am a 21 year old freelance film director and editor from Oslo, Norway. My work expands from documentaries to music videos. However, this is my debut as a singer and performer, and I feel blessed to be able to use my music video «Scream it out» as a platform to encourage people not to judge love based on gender.
I want to thank my family and friends for supporting and helping me throughout the process of making «Scream it out» become a reality. A special thanks to Abdu who’s playing the part of my boyfriend in the video. Abdul is a muslim who was held prisoner and tortured by the police in his home country. He now lives in Oslo, Norway, strongly focusing on muslim gay rights.
