Beverly Hills (I Wanna Live In) by Joe Saltzman, 1985 - Video
PUBLISHED:  Jul 26, 2012
DESCRIPTION:
I am proud to have created the WORST music video ever made for a song that I wrote in 1983 and which was first published in 1984.

Several versions of this video were shot, the first version was directed by Ralph Oshiro and the second version seen here was directed by Garth Spruiell, Camera - Ethan Fox.

This early music video was shot in Hollywood in 1985 and actually cost a LOT to make as it contained some very early digital video effects. It was challenging actually shooting in Beverly HIlls and downtown Hollywood with a Steadicam. Regardless, it was a tonne of fun to make with my friends at Cal-Arts and remains as a time capsule of the period. For anyone who might be interested the bass line was played on a NED Synclavier II synthesizer, a rare and expensive instrument then and a museum piece now!
