Jim Reynolds & Dave Griffiths 'Save The Last Dance For Me' - Video
PUBLISHED:  Apr 29, 2014
DESCRIPTION:
Jim Reynolds and his longtime collaborator Dave Griffiths playing at The Eldon House in Bristol. The gig featured a mix of Jim Reynolds originals and covers of hits from the '60s and earlier. Sitting well and truly in the latter category, this particular clip is of the classic Save the Last Dance for Me by Doc Pomus and Mort Shuman, first recorded in 1960 by Ben E. King and The Drifters

Note that half the audience is on backing vocals: a common phenomenon at a Jim Reynolds concert.

Jim Reynolds is a guitarist and singer who writes and plays an eclectic mix of music. The individual pieces tap into blues, ragtime, rhythm and blues, music hall and folk traditions. Some are extremely sensitive songs about life, people and relationships, while others are tongue in cheek. His albums (see below) are also sprinkled with classics from the likes of J.J. Cale, Nick Drake, John Martyn, Roy Orbison, The Inkspots, Jelly Roll Morton and Jimmy Rogers. http://www.jimreynoldsmusic.co.uk - Promoted by Pat Tynan Media http://www.pattynanmedia.com
