The Edges are an American rock band that formed in Los Angeles, Califonia in 2008. Founded when singer, Ryan Kean, replied to a posting by producer, Tobias Karlsson (Carolina Liar), in search of talented singer/songwriters. Kean and Karlsson had an immediate musical connection and began writing several songs together. Kean was on a mission however to put together an incredible band to share his journey with. After meeting and talking with Jon Hastings (drums), Kean asked Hastings to join the band. Soon after, Hastings contacted long time friend and old band mate, Wayne Miller, to join on bass. While searching for a guitarist, Miller recalled sharing the stage with a like minded individual, James Bowen. After hearing some of the song demos, Bowen was eager to jump on board with the project and all four members now spend most of their days writing and recording new material. They plan to release their debut full length album in the Spring of 2010. Recently, The Edges had their song "Lift Me Up" Featured on the 2009 season finale of MTV's hit show The Hills.
