In 1990 veteran Louisiana bluesman Jesse Thomas teamed up with his long running music partner Leon "Peaches" Sterling, (a blind blues pianist and singer from Bunkie, Louisiana). Together they were recorded in a Shreveport studio, producing some fine blues standards such as 'How Long,How Long Blues', 'See See Rider', and the romping 'Drinking Wine Spo-dee-odee'. Jesse also recorded some of his own numbers from the past, including his classic 'Blue Goose Blues' and 'Another Friend Like Me'

Jesse was the brother of Willard "Rambiln' Thomas who made some remarkable recordings in the late 1920s for the Paramount label. His nephew was bluesman Jerry ("Jeri") Lafayette Thomas.
