Jason Randolph finds his success in the realm of dance music a bit unbelievable. I began playing the guitar as a kid and ended up with a minor in jazz performance at Clark University. When I met B.B. King, I told him I was meant to be the next great guitar player. Jason laughs. However, he found his musical interests moving in a different direction while playing with some local jazz bands in the Boston area. He came in contact with dance music while working in some of Bostons best clubs. "I could not get over the feeling of being in a room while this music was pumpin at 100,000 watts. It was magical. I needed to be a part of that. Jason made the switch in 1996. He was offered his first remix, Caesar and Monolos Billboard charting Bolero.

Shortly after this initial success Jason made the move to Los Angeles and became part of the Hot Tracks remix team, doing remixes and edits for popular artists such as Alanis Morisette and Tori Amos. Word was out and Jason was asked to be programmer for the likes of Rick Nowels, Felix da Housecat and the superstar remix team, Thunderpuss. His work with Grammy winning songwriters Danny and Michael Sembello, helped sign songs to artists such as Celine Dion and Tatiana Ali. His list of production/remix credits is pages long (Lolleta Holloway, Snoop Dogg, 2Pac, N-Sync, Ricky Martin, etc). But it is his progressive house sound that made us sit up and take notice. Melodic basslines, banging rhythms, and unique filtering techniques are order of the day when it comes to his production work and he manages to bring all of this plus unbridled energy into his DJ and live sets.
