Biography
Mutrix is the production alias of producer, songwriter and guitarist James Ruehlmann. He first entered the music scene as guitarist in the band At the Throne of Judgment. After several full US tours with bands such as The Devil Wears Prada, Whitechapel, Born of Osiris and Winds of Plague, At the Throne disbanded.

In 2008 he began producing electro pop and hip hop winning several songwriting competitions and was invited by a studio in Atlanta to work as a producer and recording artist. In 2010 James moved to Chicago to finish his degree in Music Business from Columbia College. In late 2010 he was introduced to dubstep and electro and began learning how to model and engineer synths. After getting positive feedback online from his first few EDM productions the alias Mutrix was born.

He released his debut EP, Contact, in May of 2012 and it was met with glowing reviews around the web. The Contact EP gained Mutrix the support of Dubstep.NET and other reputable websites. Even Datsik has dropped the hit track "Eradication" into his live set.
