James Maker - The Girl From Berlin (Song For Nico) - Video
PUBLISHED:  Jul 31, 2014
DESCRIPTION:
James Maker is one of the great lost voices of British pop music. Little has been heard from him since he released a single on Morrissey’s Attack label in 2004 (I’m Unbearable). In an age where flaccid mediocrities are showered with praise James Maker was ignored and shunted off into the margins. He was the vocalist in Raymonde (1980s) and RPLA (1990s). He is a true original. This song is from a batch of demos he recorded known as The Milwaukee Sessions.

James Maker has written a wonderful autobiography called ‘Autofellatio’. It can be bought for Kindle on Amazon and a paperback edition can be ordered from all good disreputable bookshops. He also provides a glorious vocal on Saunders Ferry Lane from Boz Boorer’s album Sum Of The Parts (2012).
