Memo to the late James Brown; its no longer a mans world. Nicky Zimmer is carving out a decent niche for herself and ODA Digital with a slew of consistently rewarding releases.

The latest, a ticking timebomb of a music explosion, comes by way of Damir Pushkar & Dub Way and appears to be an ode to a famous highway in Germany. This piece clearly takes you an a slightly futuristic trip on the Autobahn; it is both expansive and mechanical.

"Ausfahrt A661" is a great example of finger-popping, head-snapping, booty-shaking intelligent electronica. This is a rare slice of minimal techno that is neither derivative nor monotonous; I enjoyed every last second of the track. The monster-style distorted vocals are used just enough to give the track some depth and the swirling festival of kinetic beats and bleeps are well conceived. This is likely to become a big room favorite by spring time!!
