DESCRIPTION:
I-Jah started getting involved in music from a young age as a grime lyricist. His style consists of a mix of reggae, dub, dub-step, jungle, hip hop and grime. His message is of peace, love, and understanding and calls his music reality music. Most of his tracks consist of hard baselines influenced from dub music.
I Jah has combined his heavy involvement in the music industry with working at NICOLA Arts as a singer and producer. He has performed with many artists including hip hop artists Bashy and Chimpmunk. In addition he has worked with Young Warrior, son of the reknown reggae soundsystem operator Jah Shaka at the 2009 Dubwise Festival located in Brixton. Since the festival he has travelled to Italy and Amsterdam to perform with other reggae acts. Recently, he has began to work and perform live with the London based reggae group Subajah and the One Love Band.
In addition to being an artist I Jah is also an experienced producer with his own record label, Cosmic Music which was responsible for his first instrumental album release 'FUTURE DUB' in 2012.
