Hanging On The Telephone was first recorded by Jack Lee's band The Nerves (with Paul Collins and Peter Case). The Nerves released only one EP (1976) and this was one of the four songs on it. This became a huge hit, when Blondie recorded their cover version in 1978. And here's Jack Lee's solo version of this classic pop song ... of course a good one as you would expect :)
