During the 50's and well into the 70's spouge music, zouk and popular love ballads were the rage on the local airwaves. So many talented, young artiste made their debut on Rediffusion and other radio stations throughout the West Indies. Jackie Opel was one of those artiste who was quite popular, rising to local stardom. Sadly during the height of his career he was suddenly taken away from 'us', but today his legacy of pure gold spouge music lives on!
