Once again, Boxon Records proves he has a good nose. Indeed, POLEN, an electro rock band of four musicians - Pol Goz,Ivana Lapolla, Carla Nastri, Sebastian Reinholz -- comes straight from Buenos Aires, Argentina. Still unknown in France,they earn to get more and more recognition in days to come, in Europe and internationally.
Nevertheless, the four acolytes are not beginners in the electro music business since they have already released two EP's - « Metamorphy » (2008), « Compressor » (2009) - and a hit single « Drop The Line »(2010). Undeniable pieces of evidence of their success overseas : they are all the rage acting in the trendy evenings of Buenos Aires, and have just been obtaining the title of « Rising Electro Stars » award from MTV.
The quartet,who used to produce its own works so far,is now part of the label's promising team. Their new EP is composed with two original
tracks « Feels Good » and « Would You », as well as five remixes by Flechette, Smitech Wesson, Misha Wild, DJ Horny and Punx Soundcheck.
These tracks are reminiscent of their musical influences,nowadays indisputable : Daft Punk, Digitalism, Justice, Soulwax, Does It Offend You, Yeah?, among others. With a sound enriched with powerful basses and saturated synth, POLEN differs in tone by its sparkling disco music and its acrobatic rock, which make the tracks definitely energetic and invigorating.
As a matter of fact, the title « Feels Good » perfectly suits the EP because it is making us feeling great. For that matter, we hope the listening will make you « feel good » as well.
