Patrick Hero is our latest signing to the Se-Lek Musik stable and an artist who is uniquely fierce on the modern techno plateau.

He originates from Germany which many people considered the home and birth of Techno and he is also an active DJ internationally.

His prior releases have been quite frequent and hitting all the right areas with premier league DJ support and press. You can also find is music on imprints such as Reflekt Records, Phunk Traxx, Chien d'Ours Records, Kaleydo Beats and we are very pleased to have him feature on Se-lek Musik.

Often the word Techno can be misinterpreted as aggressive and super hard but in the modern eara it’s a musical style that’s full of groove, unique energy and this is very evident on this release.

The first on this two tracker is the title track “Butterfly” which epitomizes what modern techno is all about.
It’s full of groove driven energy, subtle dark overlays and slight transient elements that really entice the brain.
It’s a track that keeps you locked in from start to finish with an almost hypnotizing affect, whilst also supplying club floor momentum.

Next we have “Painkiller” which is produced more in classic techno fashion with a deep rolling energy fit for any occasion. It’s got a slightly darker approach to the prior but still very floor commanding. The hypnotizing affect is also evident here as it continues to roll through with dynamics.
