DESCRIPTION:
Had to spend some time on my Pearl Music City Custom kit today since I was spending so much time with that other kit. The drums have coated Emperors on top, the bass drum gets a PowerStroke 3, and I have everything tuned a bit tight (like a 1960s Tony Williams sound, but not so high). Playing this way reminds me when I played for lounge bands in a couple of big hotels wearing a suit back in my 20s - there'd be at least one set of bossa novas and sambas. I haven't had to play like this in a long time and it felt good - and this was probably busier than it's supposed to be!
