Neumann AM32B Vinyl Lathe Is Well-Cared For At Infrasonic Sound (Video) - Video
PUBLISHED:  Apr 02, 2011
DESCRIPTION:
Adopting a vinyl lathe is a big commitment, especially when the machine you've chosen is a vintage Neumann AM32B. Pete Lyman has provided a home for one such lathe at Infrasonic Sound, the studio he co-owns with Jeff Ehrenberg, and the machine has become a bit of a signature piece for the business -- Back and The Mars Volta both recently cut direct-to-vinyl sessions at Infrasonic.

We spoke with Pete Lyman in the days before our trip to Winter NAMM, and he happily spoke about how he keeps his Neumann AM32B in tip-top shape, how it came to be in his possession, and how it's integrated is into his otherwise very modern mastering suite.
