I was born in Florida, and raised in Kansas City. MO. I started playing guitar at 11, drums and piano at age 13. I started writing music and lyrics at age 14. I am an original artist with a jazz, rock, reggae and soul influenced hip hop sound. I basically just like to call it music!!! I was raised around music. Both of my parents were jazz musicians who toured the world performing. As time went on, I got more and more passionate and serious about making music. It is my absolute passion.I produce tracks with both live instrument recording, and sampling, and I work with artists of all genres, as long as it sounds good! In 2004 I finished recording my first complete album, "Tools and Machinery". A 17-track cd with singles "Cerebral System", "Rotation", and "Be Discreet". I produced all 17 tracks, a few were co-produced by Van Diesel. After the completion and release of the LP, I decided to run with it. From 2005 on I have been doing shows consistently in KC, and often branching out across the country to places like L.A., Las Vegas, St. Louis, Omaha, Tampa, etc
In September 2008 I wrapped up the Scinfoe "On The Green" LP with Negro Scoe. We have also teamed up with an amazing live band (The Crayonz) to perform sets with Scinfoe, along with djs Barbaric Merits. The band consists of members of respected bands Odds Even, Soul Bandit, The Co-Signers, and Karma.
In January of 2009, I won the Scion Versus MC Battle. It was the first official organized battle I have ever participated in. Thanx alot 2 everybody who supported me in that!!!
In 2009, I will be releasing my sophomore solo LP, "Whiskey For Pops". The album is 2 years in the making, and will feature production from myself, along with some amazing producers from KC, and all over the country. The album was supposed to be done in january, but I've decided to take a little extra time to make sure the album is as dope as it can be.Im extremely stoked about getting this album finished and out there to people. The album will be available on iTunes and imeem.com in 2009. I'm also working on a collab album with Ces Cru. If you don't know about these cats, LOOK THEM UP! I don't give a fuck what anybody says. Nobody in KC, or many other cities at that, are fuckin with these 2 mcs. The album is in the beginning stages, but when it's finished it's gonna be NUTS! I will keep progress on both the albums updated
And oh yeah.I also tought the fundamentals of rhyme writing and emceeing to kids in Kansas City at the hip hop academy in the Summer of 2007. We recorded a DOPE 11 track album, with my production. Some of these are kids are 10 years old and flow better than most lames with record deals!!! LOL. The academy was founded by two fellow local artists and friends of mine, Roscoe Johnson (Negro Scoe), and Aaron Sutton (Brother of Moses).
