I imported the backing track into the audio recording and editing program audacity and played the improvisation on a second track.

I used a Lin6 Toneport Ux2 to get the guitar "into" the PC.

The rendered soundtrack was afterwoods aligned to the video (captured with a logitech webcam) in the program "Magix Video 2007". As you can see the result is not completely well synchronised.

I use mostly the following melodic devices:

D (and Eb) dorian (minor with a natural 6th), Dmin pentatonic, D min arpeggio (min7, min9, min11), the triads diatonic to the D minor dorian scale and chromatic passing tones.
