The Birthplace of Country Music Alliance celebrates the release of the Bear Family Records' Bristol Sessions: The Big Bang of Country Music 1928 & 1927 box set with a full weekend of events, including Mountain Stage live at The Paramount Center for the Arts on State Street in historic Downtown Bristol, TN/VA. Just before the show The BCMA hosted a reception for sponsors across the street inside Sessions 27. The East Tennessee State University Old Time Pride Band performed for the crowd and was joined by Hubby Jenkins on bones. Hubby was among the newest members of The Carolina Chocolate Drops, who performed at Mountain Stage that evening. CCD was fresh from their first Grammy win, achieving Best Traditional Folk Album for 'Genuine Negro Jig'.
