DESCRIPTION:
The year is 1994. I get a call from XL's local distributor asking if I'd like to interview The Prodigy on the eve of their 2nd Australian Tour and the release of their new album (at the time) "Music For The Jilted Generation".
As already a massive Prodigy fan, obviously I said YES PLEASE.
For 20 minutes, Liam and I discussed most of the tracks on the new album and also some of the more obscure releases such as What Evil Lurks and some favourite B-sides.
It's a great snap-shot of what was happening in the rave scene in the UK and Australia in 1994 & serves as a reminder that little has changed when it comes to authorities using over-reaching powers to close down the dance.
This recording was sourced from reel-to-reel tape that I archived back in 1994 after it was played on radio so excuse the limitations of the source material, I've got the best sound I could off the tape.
