Hollis Mahady. The songs above I wrote on the pianowordsmelodiesmusic. I have been so lucky to be able to have some amazing musicians play on my recordings. The guitar that you hear on "This Song" was actually the same guitar that was used on Cindy Laupers song True Colors. Thanks to John McCurry for playing guitars on it. John toured with Cindy back in the day!

I have many different tastes in music. Personally I have two pretty opposite styles. when I write I love writing on my piano.the songs usually end up being slow or turn into a ballad and throw some harmonica in it. When I write with my rock band called HOLLIS I love to do energetic fun music that rocks really hard. That I can get into on stage and perfrom the shit out of it. Writing that stuff does't come as easily to me.so I've had some amazing songwriters help with some of those songs.I want to sing good songs that I belive in and am open to having help.

I like to scream. I like to sing. I just love musicperforming itplaying it writing it. whatever.

I have been doing this for a long time and playing shows for about 8 years nowI've played some pretty killer places like CBGB's and the WHISKEY A-GOGO.and opened for some awesome bands too! I"ve done some voice overs and sang some norewegian death metal that ended up on a tv show somewhere.



It took me about 8 years to FINALLY find the right group of people to make my rock band HOLLIS work out.IT takes the right people for any magic to happen. And this time I found them . I've learned to not put up with flakes or belive anyone's bullshit. Actions speak louder then words.

Like any art.or creative field it can be a hard battle. Ups and Downs. but through it all the rewards outweigh the struggles-- you get over the dissapointments, the depression , negative people, and hard times and you keep going It's just something inside of you that you can't even descibe. the drive. I love Mike Klein my guitar playermy best friendmy musical soulmate! and couldnt have gone so far without his help. My drummer Roland banks is an inspiration as well.his drive is unbelivable and I love him and so lucky he came into my life. Any way I'm too weird to have a normal life. I just wanna play and travel the world.
