DESCRIPTION:
One delay can be cool, two might even be cooler. If they can complement each other, it's pretty awesome. I love this setting:
Line 6 sweep delay:
Low sweep rate, not too much depth and not too much level. I like it to be noticeable, but not too much. Repeats on about 3 o' clock. Just before the point it start uncontrolably oscillating
Akai Headrush E2 tape echo:
Full level and no HF damp. I like these to be crispy. The sweep delay are muffy enough. It's about the contrast that goes hand in hand. The head gap is right in the center, that means at 12 o'clock.
When I started adjusting I used the sweep delay as my start off sound. I tapped the headrush along with the sweep delays. Something like this:
DL4 sweep: 1 2 3 4
Headrush: between 2 and 3 then on 4
