This iconic Ludwig Standard Downbeat kit comes from the classic Chicago-era of Ludwig with this specific kit dating to 1969. The 3 ply maple/poplar/maple shells with a Granitone coating and reinforcement rings sound huge and resonant like only vintage drums do. The Ruby Strata bowling-ball finish is unique to the Standard Series, this being one of the earliest releases which brings a distinctly vintage flair to an already timeless kit.

All parts are original, with the exception of one of the wingnuts on a floor tom bracket, which simply has a hex nut on it. Drum Sizes are 12x8, 14x14, and 20x14.
