YVONNE ELLIMAN: "HELLO STRANGER" - Video
PUBLISHED:  Feb 22, 2014
DESCRIPTION:
[PLEASE READ] A lovely appearance and "rare" excerpt from an unknown television taping circa 1977.

Originally a hit for Barbara Lewis in 1963, "Hello Stranger" also scored big for Miss Elliman in 1977. Recorded for her LOVE ME album, the song as a single reached #15 on the Billboard Pop chart, #57 on the R&B chart, and #1 for four weeks on the Easy Listening/Adult Contemporary chart.

DID YOU KNOW that singer/songwriter/musician Yvonne Elliman sang backup and harmony vocals for Eric Clapton on records and on tour in the mid-1970s? Listen for her voice on two significant Clapton hits: "I Shot The Sheriff" (1974) and "Lay Down Sally" (1977).

This is a video of goodwill and great admiration. If you are a professional and want credit I've neglected to give OR prefer that I delete this video, please contact me (via private message or “mention”) and it will promptly be done. Thanks!
