"Taking a Chance on Love" written by Vernon Duke, John Latouche and Ted Fetter, in 1940 for the Broadway musical, Cabin in the Sky, was recorded by the Benny Goodman Orchestra in 1940 with Cootie Williams on trumpet, vocalist Helen Forrest, and Fletcher Henderson's arrangement but was not a success until 1943 after the release of the film version of the show. The recording spent 14 weeks on the pop charts, including three weeks in first place. This sound recording is administered by Rumblefish.
