The new season of the rebranded Trinidad and Tobago Super League swung open its doors on Sunday with a full slate of matches featuring all 12 participating teams.

When the dust cleared, there were wins for Guaya United 3-1 over Club Sando, Moruga; Bethel won 1-0 over Queen's Park, while the Defence Force ran past Siparia Spurs 3-1, as Police and 1976 Phoenix played out a 1-1 tie.

But there were wins for UTT over WASA and defending champs F.C. Santa Rosa held off plucky Cunupia at the Larry Gomes Stadium.
