Where is Harry??

Every band has their pinnacle, or in the Thrash realm it's usually referred to as a "Master of Puppets" album RFA is a finely tuned German panzer with photon torpedos and a warp drive that smashes through astral planes at breakneck speed. Their earlier work, while crude, is still pretty decent and memorable but once Harry WIlkens joined their ranks these beasts got incredibly meticulous and proficient, they became mad butcher brain surgeons you might say.
I'm not sure why Schmier left the band but with Harry still on board the follow up album "Cracked Brain" is still a very enjoyable gem, although with that 'something's missing' nagging feeling that won't go away.

It's hard to say what happened to Destruction after that, but I suspect that label pressures to make some 'real' money ended what could have been a major world dominant thrash force. When they reunited without Harry, it just wasn't the same, sure they have stage presence, but their song writing is just not what it used to be.
