DESCRIPTION:
Before I was born my father used to play guitar and sing to me, this began a life long love affair with music and with frequencies.

After singing in Indie bands for a few years, I fell in love with Electronic music of so many different types. But DJ's left me cold when I saw them play. Where was the spontaneity and risk? I wanted to be able to perform my electronic music however I wanted to depending on how I was feeling at the time.

This began a 5 year struggle to develop the Reactable to a point where I could consider it a fully fledged musical instrument that could be used for live performances. During this time I often question the integrity of my vision, and my motives, but always above all I persevered. My experience overcoming depression has taught me that the greatest challenge in life is just staying alive, and next to that everything else becomes easy. It has taken literally all three blood, sweat, and tears to come to this point, but I wouldn't have it any other way.

This is not the only way to perform electronic music live, its just the way I have now. Join with me in envisaging the future of live electronic performance. The more we can imagine together, the more we can create.
