DESCRIPTION:
TAD is most likely my favorite heavy rock band of all time, but they were more than just rock. They fused punk, hardcore, metal, sludge, doom, jazz, pop, and spoken word into their music (notice I didn't use the word grunge). They are one of those bands who were in a league of their own, set apart from their contemporaries yet a big influence and inspiration on the regional sound. This is the song Halcyon Nights from the swansong album INFRARED RIDING HOOD, which is probably my most cherished album they have released. My vocals on these TAD videos unfortunately are not as loud as I loud have liked them to be. I had my vocal channel cranked but I guess with the loud ass drums, and the mic picking up the drums as well, and the music coming through the PA also, this is as good as it will get for now until I figure out a better way to do this. I have been listening to TAD since like 1994 I think, so this came very natural to me. I sing along to the music in my car very often lately, and it has been a great way to get my vocals into shape. I am not a vocalist at all, but aspiring to be one. I have been drumming since 1996. I have been doing vocals and drumming simultaneously for a couple years or so now. Enjoy!
