When Ian Gillan left Deep Purple in 1989, he began solo career. This was one of the successfull period in his solo-activity. In 1990 Gillan realased album "Naked Thunder" which charted Uk at #12.
It was the most different album from Gillan and "Naked Thunder" is considered to be a masterpiece of music.
You can not define genre for this great album. It containes just wonderfull songs (No More Cane On Brazos, Loving On Borrowed Time, Nothing But The Best) + some hard-rocking anthems like Gut Reaction and Love Gun.
