The Guilty Pleasures have been kicking around on the North-West punk circuit for the best part of four years, playing their politically inspired, new-school punk rock to all who are willing to listen!
They play songs which are melodic and catchy, yet in-your-face and fast paced. Combined with lyrics that deliver a strong message of political awareness, these have proved to be a great formula for winning over fans of all generations.
Their ever-growing reputation as a hard working bunch of lads has recently seen them sharing a stage with the a wide range of bands ranging from USA supergroup ME FIRST AND THE GIMME GIMME'S (Featuring members of NOFX and Foo Fighters), genre heavyweights ANTI-FLAG and FLOGGING MOLLY, THE UNSEEN, Fat-Wreck's The Epoxies, post-punk laptop rapper MC Lars and the UK's own Sonic Boom Six through to many legendary old-school British punk bands including UK Subs, Discharge, GBH and Sub Humans.
The band have just released their debut album, "What Are We Fighting For?' which at it's release, had Big Cheese Magazine featuring them as one of their favourite new bands of the month, comparing the guys to 'Anti-Flag knifing the legacy of Leftover Crack,' and Distorted Magazine saying of the album, 'Here are some musically punk rock diamonds, I say diamonds as we all know they are worth more than those gems.' Kerrang Magazine also gave the album a KKKK review, saying, 'The songs are big enough to elbow their way through the shoestring budget and announce the bands arrival in no uncertain terms!' which has further added to the hype surrounding the band!
Mike Davies of the Radio 1 Punk Show has recently been giving the band a lot of support on his radio show and the band are currently in the studio working on a follow up EP to the debut album!

"Their politicised ranting recalls the furious snarl of The Exploited or GBH, albeit packed with a spring-heeded, Rancid-esque bassline bounce and huge, roughshod anthemic hooks" - KKKK Kerrang
"Like Anti-Flag knifing the legacy of Leftover Crack" / "Their first album is full of the kind of raging yet melody-filled modern politi-punk that would make Leftover Crack proud!" - 4/5 Big Cheese
"The entire album capture the essence of punk in all it's imperfect glory. This is a band to watch out for!" - Distorted Magazine
