Catherine Enny is our founder. Her career kicked off in the early '90's when she developed, engineered and produced numerous Orange County garage and punk bands you have never heard of. In 1991, she produced a young rock group out of Palm Desert, CA, called Kyuss, managed and signed them to Chameleon/Elektra Records. Her forward venture in management resulted in signing Queens Of The Stone Age (Interscope), Monster Magnet (A & M), Fu Manchu (Mammoth), The Dwarves (Sub Pop), Sean Yseault of White Zombie & Famous Monsters.
Then in 1999 a move from Los Angeles to San Francisco brought on a whole new spin into the hip hop and political world with the signing of Michael Franti & Spearhead (Anti-/Epitaph/Liberator). Her industry roots also include a long stint in the Restless Records Marketing Dept and onward a co-venture working with Warren Entner Management (Rage Against The Machine, Quiet Riot, L7, Deftones) they founded Ignition Marketing, one of the premiere ''guerrilla marketing/street promotions' companies to break emerging artists and established touring artists, including NIN, Marilyn Manson, Weezer, Jimmy Eat World, No Doubt and many more Interscope, Sony, Warners and Universal artists.
With Michael Franti & Spearhead, Guerrilla Management breaks ground in developing an 'enterprise approach' to the marketing of their lifestyle via DIY Mechandising, Music Videos, Digital Promotions, Filmmaking, Green Sponsorships, Community Building based on what they like to experience in life and taste. Recently partnered up with Borman Entertainment (Keith Urban, Lady Antebellum) in the management of Franti. We also produce one of the nation's largest free festivals in Golden Gate Park, SF called "POWER TO THE PEACEFUL" drawing an audience of over 80,000 people last year; we produced an Award Winning full-length feature film titled 'I Know I'm Not Alone' based on Franti's journey into the war zones of IRAQ, ISRAEL & PALESTINE; developed a merch company that practices sustainability, free trade and profitability for its artists'; produces special events globally in the name of social justice and peace through music and action.
The 'enterprise approach' of looking at the Artist's career as more than the music by holding successful business, personal and creative integrity executed by hard work, hard play and a healthy balance is the Guerrilla ethic! Along with being Catherine's main supports, Jill Brogan manages all things music licensing, logistics, office admin and more including keeping us on the hip hop tip. Anita Akhavan manages all things promo, scheduling, special project, film and non-profit work inquiries. Hailing from Dublin, Ireland, John O'Malley manages the development of our breaking artists ~ currently and past includes Blue King Brown (Australia), Little Birdy (Australia), Mando Diao (Sweden), The Backyard Babies(Sweden), Von Iva (SF, USA), The Ettes (Nashville USA) and along with his outside ventures ~ he navigates sponsorships and collaborations for our artists.
