I think sometimes when u put a bio out there so formal, it almost allows the reader to believe that the cat they're reading about is maunfactured-- like is this him? i am he.
.Mr. Greenweedz, Gdubz, Green, Weeedz, or Greenweedz and for about six years GW. I've been an emcee for about 20 years but i didn't, however, start makin tangible product-- that wasn't bitten or flat out robbed from me--until 1998. after 15 years of floatin thru several possees i landed a gig with Family Tree which was once a derivitive of Unison but evolved into a whole nother crew. I pretty much dropped a few fresh 12 inches (Some Love & Driven) and dropped a few records with Fam. Tree (Plantin' Seeds & Tree House Rock). Right around 2000 I joined a well-known band from Chicago called Liquid Soul, while maintainin' my membership with Family Tree. As a result of being a member of both crews and just--pretty much-- being an out going cat; I've made the most of my endeavors.and some have been once in a lifetime, while others have been mediocre @ best--but they were endeavors nonetheless.
Anyhow, right as I joined Liquid Soul the band was Grammy-Nominated later that year of 2000-01.now, was I?.hmmm.Analogously speaking, it was like Liquid Soul was the White Sox, and if i was one of the players, I'd be Geoff Blum. Now alot happened since 2000 and i no that's ambiguous. But I've worked with cats like Capital D, Dug Inf, G.Riot, Molemen, DJ Spinna, DJ Logic, J Rawls and so forth.now G.Riot and myself did a record thru All Natural inc. called G.Strings.Liquid Soul is also droppin a record in May thru Telarc/Universal called One-Two Punch. I've had the privledge of takin the stage or recording with cats who made an impression on music. For example, rockin' with LS has allowed me to play with cats whom i would've never even imagined being on the same bill with-- whether I cared about they're music or not, i got open: Ramsey Lewis, John Popper, Wayne Kramer, Bob Weir, B.B. King, Buddy Guy, Snoop, Rob Wasserman, to name a few. This is where Hip Hop is @ it's on stage with cats like these--cuz i don't dumb it down.
Now, I've also had the opportunity to rhyme wit some pretty heavy cats; The Jungle Brothers, J-Live, Atmosphere, and Chuck D just to name a few for now. What I will provide u wit is just a small peice of my discography.hopefully, I'll be in a city near u and we can vibe. I am the V to the I to the R from the GO.
