"The Presets-meets-performance-art shtick"."hilarious, clever and lowbrow all at once and the best fun I've had for ages" - Clare Fletcher, Drum Media

"This track [Metrosexy] is dirty, glitchy electro with just the right amount of pop to get you humming along. If it was an accessory it would be a vintage '80s calculator watch" - Vijay Khurana, Triple J

Sydney Fine Arts Academic, Dr. Sean Lowry, included Great Apes in an article about trends in modern art and music, which featured in the September 2008 issue of Australia's most critically respected Art Journal, Broadsheet. He glowingly referred to Great Apes as "monuments to heroic failure."

Great Apes self-produced video clip 'Tell Me That I'm Good' is awarded RAGE (ABC TV) "Indie Video Clip Of The Week", and is shown for 8 weeks. MUCH MUSIC, Canada's national and biggest music video show chooses 'Tell Me That I'm Good' to kick-off their prime time Friday night show 'The Wedge'. And now Channel V has taken a liking to it too!

Great Apes are added to FBi radio (Sydney 94.5FM) podcast for "bands FBi predicts will be huge" and have 5 songs from their EP added to daily rotation in 2008.

JUST WHO THE F*CKIN' HELL ARE GREAT APES?

Great Apes are Steve and Charles, two f$ckin' legend bastards who got together a while ago (not literally, f&ck no), with only one bitchin'-ass plan: to make the no-bullsh_t best mother-f°ckin' electro-pop album that they could. Well look out, Jesus H. Christ, it looks like they might have God-damn done it!

Growing up on the shitty mean streets of Sydney, these kindly pricks learnt a thing or two, and they bring this raw, hardened edge, to every

grinding, c=ck-suckin' beat. Yet if you peel back the layers like a kiwi-fruit,

you find a delicious, juicy inside (like a you know what!)

Steve has played with the likes of PoodleChrist and The Originals,

(although those a$$holes were pencil-d=cks compared to their new outfit), and Charles narrowly missed out on becoming the roadie for the newly reformed INXS. So it is with this musical diversity and industry know-how, that they embark on their f?ckin' coolest gig to date.

Great Apes defy categorisation by industry d"ck-heads talking out their arse, and speak to a generation so forgotten that they don't even exist.

Great Apes refuse to enter a battle of wits with an unarmed person. So be warned! You won't appreciate it if you're f*ckin' stupid.
