Played on a Columbia AB Grand Graphophone also known as the Macdonald, due to being designed by Thomas H Macdonald, Columbia's Chief engineer. The AB was first introduced in 1901 with less than 10,000 being made, The AB machine is capable of playing both 5" concert and standard 2" cylinder records.
