1908 VV-XX Victor Victrola VTLA Phonograph Playing Special RED CROSS Star Spangled Banner Record - Video

DESCRIPTION:
Here is my 1908 Victor Victrola Model VV-XX. This very expensive, elaborately hand carved, highly ornate model cost a whopping $300 in 1908 and represented the top of the line model at that time for the Victor Talking Machine Company. Few customers could afford it and production was limited and brief. I feel that this model is the most attractive of any of Victor's floor model Victrolas. I have done absolutely nothing to this Victrola with the exception of applying some good old fashoned furniture polish and rebuilding the original gold plated reproducer. I added a little extra footage at the end of the video of a small sampling of some of my collection of early 7-inch Victor records. Most of the different variations of the early Victor 7-inch records are represented. I also included a very unusual early Kaiser Wilhelm Columbia picture label record. The Red Cross record was simply selected at random from my record collection due to its colorful picture label with Margaret Woodrow Wilson. I thank you sincerely for stopping in for a visit and hope that you enjoy the video.
