DESCRIPTION:
A few years ago, Bob Ralston did a concert at the Renaissance Theatre in Mansfield, Ohio. We stayed after the concert, and Bob cut video TV promos for an upcoming concert in Toledo to be run on our local PBS station during the Lawrence Welk Show.

After we cut the spots, I asked Bob to play something to show-off the Renaissance Wurlitzer. He had done "Amazing Grace" for the show, so he turned around and recorded what you see here (in a dozen different keys). LOL

The Renaissance Wurlitzer was known as the "Hollywood Wurlitzer" - its original home - installed in 1929. The folks at the Renaissance have lovingly preserved it, and it never sounded better.

BTW, Bob did a Christmas show there a year or so later, and it was the most amazing show - ever. He also did two SRO shows in Toledo when he was traveling the country doing theatre organ concerts.

For 40 years or so, Bob was the organist and pianist on the popular Lawrence Welk Show. Enjoy the video.
