Linda Ronstadt was an excellent performer of country music. "I Fall to Pieces" written by Hank Cochran and Harlan Howard, first recorded by Patsy Cline in 1961, was recorded by Linda Ronstadt as a live performance at The Troubadour nightclub in West Hollywood, California in March of 1971, accompanied by Glenn Frey – guitar, background vocals, Don Henley - drums, background vocals, Richard Bowden – guitar, Michael Bowden – bass, Sneaky Pete Kleinow – pedal steel guitar, "Gib" Guilbeau, - fiddle, and John Boylan – guitar. The track was included on Linda Ronstadt, her third solo album, released in January, 1972 on the Capitol Records label, available on CD on Capitol. Another live version of "I Fall to Pieces" can be found on Linda’s album, Live at the Record Plant, Sausalito, CA, November 18, 1973.
