This elusive session produced by Michael Nesmith during the Don Kirshner reign was one of the finest productions during the sessions for the Monkees debut album, but was left of the album and did not see an official release until 1990. This was clearly a major oversite by Don Kirshner. In retrospect, his "golden ear" had flaws. Or maybe it was it a personal vendetta against anyone who challenged his authority. To the point of letting his personal feelings (and ego) get in the way of the overall release of the Monkees first album. How this track was overlooked yet "Gonna Buy Me A Dog" was included is a mystery. Here is the actual session out-takes, along with the original stereo master track mix. You decide.
